Das Landesnetzwerk für Menschenrechte und Demokratieentwicklung ist ein Zusammenschluss von über 50 Organisationen, Institutionen, Projekten und Expert*innen, die sich in Baden-Württemberg für Demokratie und Menschenrechte einsetzen. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2009 hat das Netzwerk präventive und intervenierende Maßnahmen gegen Rechtsextremismus und demokratiefeindliche Bestrebungen etabliert. Das Netzwerk dient als Plattform zum Austausch und zur Koordination von Ressourcen und Aktivitäten.“
Ziel des Netzwerkes ist, durch die Bündelung von Wissen und Ressourcen sowie durch die Organisation von Netzwerktreffen und Fachaustauschen, die Aufmerksamkeit für gruppenbezogene Menschenfeindlichkeit und Demokratiefeindlichkeit zu erhöhen. Diese Treffen bieten Raum für Arbeitsgruppen und den Dialog mit politischen Entscheidungsträgern, um die Entwicklung von Demokratie aktiv zu fördern und zu gestalten.“
Die regelmäßigen Treffen und der enge Austausch mit Mitgliedern aus dem Landtag unterstreichen die Bedeutung des Netzwerkes und seiner Arbeit, die darauf abzielt, Politik und Öffentlichkeit über relevante Themen und Herausforderungen zu informieren und einzubeziehen.
